The Impact of the LSB Foundation

April is a time to reflect and celebrate Community Banking Month and the Main Street communities they serve.  Here at Lincoln Savings Bank, we are thankful for the opportunities and resources that allow us to give to others. Since its inception in 2005, the LSB Foundation has contributed over $2.6 million to various organizations, individuals and community endeavors. The LSB Foundation is just one of the many ways we demonstrate commitment to our core value of building strong communities.

The Cedar Bend Humane Society, Grundy Memorial Hospital and Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) are a few of the 270+ organizations who have benefitted from these contributions.

"Cedar Bend Humane Society operates as a non-profit organization and we are very pleased with our partnership with the Lincoln Savings Bank.  As a non-profit, we operate and exist because of community donations and support and we are pleased that LSB helps us to manage our finances and to be accountable to our donors.  The Lincoln Savings Bank is very community driven and has supported the Cedar Bend Humane Society through the Lincoln Savings Bank Foundation.  The Cedar Bend Humane Society's mission aligns with the Foundation's focus on community development, youth and education, arts and culture, and health and human services." – Karla Beckman Co-Director Cedar Bend Humane Society

“The gifts provided to the hospital Foundation by local businesses make a difference for our patients each and every day.  Our recent fundraising campaign to renovate and enlarge the Specialty Clinic makes health care more accessible and convenient, which enhances the quality of life for residents of the rural communities served by the hospital.  We are grateful to the LSB Foundation for its gift to support our hospital’s Touch a Life campaign, as well as for the other ways LSB enhances the quality of life in rural Iowa for our employees and their families.” – Keely Harken – Grundy County Memorial Hospital – UnityPoint Health Foundation Development & Community Outreach Manager

“The DMARC Food Pantry Network is so grateful for the support of Lincoln Savings Bank, whose contribution provided over 1,700 meals for families facing food insecurity in Greater Des Moines. This is especially impactful at a time when the need at our food pantries continues to rise.” – Rev. Sarai Schnucker Rice – Executive Director

Where you choose to bank matters and that is why at LSB, we pride ourselves on leaving a philanthropic legacy in the communities we serve.
